Wayne "The Dane" Hansen, one of the most crazy and recognizable sculptors from the GK market, his video tutorials have helped a lot of amateur sculptors to grow up on their styles. Also his forums are a nice way to learn about fantasy sculpture. He has work for several companies, and when I say "Several companies" they aren't enogh words.. Just the great Dane...

Others: My motto: "Everyone deserves "A Hand Up"! The best way to learn anything is to play at it and enjoy the process not just the end result!

Name: Wayne Siegaard Hansen (AKA. THE DANE)
Birth date: 12/22/47
Studio name: Wayne THE DANE Hansen
Headquarters location: Julian, PA, USA
Experience: 10 professionally
Material preferences: Super Sculpey mainly with some epoxy putty for spice!
Sculpture’s size: Size preferences are changing these days. I have a passion for the very tiny. The smaller a sculpt is (and done well) the more I'm drawn into it. I like the more liberal freedom of 18 inch figures as well.

Influences: Michealangelo, Phidias, Donatello, Rodin, Kathe Kollewitz, Frances Bacon, Frazetta, Bisley, Henry Moore, Sargent, Remmington, Tekaya, Moto Hata, Shifflette Bros, Paul Kamoda, Bill Paquet, Cat Stevens and Al Green.
Companies: Castings Inc., Nite Life Productions, Resin D'etre, Action Hobbies, Sculptural Visions, NERV, Fatman Productions, Jimmy Flintstone, Alternative Images, Jayco Toys, Volund Inc., Bellefonte Foundation, Stonehenge Productions, Beyond Comics.Tv. There are a few more companies I can't recall plus many private collectors as well.
Expectations: Create Magic for the viewer who lives with my work every day.
Advice to new sculptors or amateurs sculptors: This figure sculpting genre can take many directions. Garage kit sculpting is a way to start getting your work in the public eye, but don't expect to turn much profit in the Garge kit hobby. It's good to have several eggs in several baskets these days. In other words, "Don't give up your day job!"
