And with a sip or two of our local Genepi, I would say that turning a dead piece of Fimo into the living like dream of the Man is really a thrill. Just like using a match to make a fire in the cold night of the unmeaning, as the Old Shaman twenty thousand years ago. I would also think that man always need two or three dimensional images like a baby needs his dummy, to feel the warming of his family with pics in his leather, or the idea of the perfect love with a Juliette statue(or a romeo, ladys). And has the production techniques improved a lot since stone age, It is possible to feed this need .And beware, there is a dark green elephant behind you .
Advice to new or amateur sculptors: Well this work will teach you in every aspect of humanity. You will be flying and falling as Icarus ten times a week but you always will survive. After all, it is just a statue!
some said: The one who learns alone is teaching a donkey. Secrets are not made to be kept.
Roma was not made in one day ( plus, they had slaves to toil). There is room for everyone under the sun. Never hesitate to cut a head (on a statue). From the fruit you see the tree.
Life is short. Compile every answers and point of view of this site and...Turn off your computer and go back to work!.
