Sculpture’s size: Each
scale has it's advantages (and disadvantages). Most of our experience has
been in 1/6th and life size.
Influences: Anyone who
even "tries" to sculpt can inspire us by showing a unique approach
to a sculpting problem. Often the best revelations come when someone who "doesn't
know better" tries something a veteran sculptor wouldn't attempt. Often
"stupid questions" cause us to rethink the way we do things, and
adjust to create the best sculpts possible.
Companies: garage kits:
XO Facto, Nitelife, Jayco, Wolfs Den, Big Dan Productions, Men in Black, Attic
Art, Espi Productions, Python Press, Von Then Productions, Diceman Creations,
Resinator, Resin Crypt, Southren Fried Resin, Skull Island. Other companies:
Walt Disney World, Warner Brothers, Dynamic Forces, Andgor Toy Company, Imax,
FAO Schwarz, Funimation, Endless Horizons Entertainment, George Perez, many
private collectors
Expectations: Fame is vanity,
and riches lead to misery, so we are just looking to make an honest living
doing something we are good at.
Advice to new sculptors or amateurs sculptors:
No matter how many people tell you how great your work
is NEVER believe it. Once you fall in that trap you will never improve. Always
be totally honest with yourself. Learn to recognize your strengthes and weaknesses.
When you pick up on your weaknesses work to make them strengthes. Never let
your name become a more viable comodity than your talent and ability. To many
"names" let who the are sell the wares, and don't give every project
110%.
Others: Thanks to all who
have enjoyed and supported our work.
